This is a photo of a pillar in the Ganden Sumtseling Monastery. It was a beautiful trip that we took one afternoon, to learn more about the deities worshipped there. We took a van into the city center, where we purchased tickets and rode a bus app the hill to the secluded little town and entrance to the monastery. The architecture was beautiful, and our CERS leaders taught us so much about the shrines and art included.

This is a picture of the whole group, after traveling to the top of Shika mountain, a sacred mountain, and back down to the yak fields below. We loved the gondola ride, and the views were amazing! Seeing that much of China from one place was a great experience, that I know we’re all really thankful for.
